Trade-Exports of Fruits and Vegetables

The roots of A.S. Episkopis date back to 1956 when it initially operated as a Credit Cooperative. Shortly after, it transitioned to a P.O.S.P. (Cooperative for the Sale of Fruits and Vegetables) and began the distribution and sale of peaches, nectarines, apples, and pears.

Bacterial canker of kiwifruit is caused by the bacterium *Pseudomonas syringae* pv. *actinidiae*, which infects plants of the genus *Actinidia*, particularly the species *A. deliciosa* and *A. chinensis*. These species include most of the cultivated green-fleshed and yellow-fleshed kiwifruit varieties.
